Interior Consultancy
Our Creative Support
Our consultations are designed for clients who want professional guidance but prefer to manage their own projects at their own pace, and within their own budget. They offer a flexible, cost-effective way to benefit from experienced insight, without committing to a full design service.
Thoughtful guidance on our creative support can be found below:
-
The consultation service is designed to empower - not overwhelm - offering clarity, structure, and inspiration, rooted in experience and a respect for the individual character of each home.
Rather than following a fixed structure, each consultation is tailored to the client’s needs. It might be a one-off session or form part of a broader support plan, the time can be adapted depending on the scale and complexity of the project. Sessions can be held either in person or online, depending on location and client preferences. Consultations are charged by the hour, with mileage applied where appropriate.
The goal is to leave our clients feeling inspired, supported, and equipped with a clear sense of direction.
-
Before the consultation, we’ll ask our clients to complete a short questionnaire to outline their aims and any specific design challenges.
We also encourage them to send through anything that helps us understand their space and brief, this could be:
A video walk-through via WhatsApp or email
A Pinterest board, inspiration images, or a saved Instagram post
Notes about specific elements they are stuck on or items that will remain
A desired piece of furniture, fabric or paint colour intended to anchor the scheme.
The more context provided, the more focused and valuable the consultation can be.
-
It depends on the brief, but our aim is to make every minute count and our clients are usually pleasantly surprised by how much can be achieved. The studio is adept at understanding a space quickly and instinctively. Charlotte draws on extensive experience, including hundreds of home consultations as a former Senior Colour Consultant at Farrow & Ball. She has a highly intuitive approach to reading space, light, and how clients want to live. Her skill lies in quickly identifying opportunities and offering practical, honest guidance, whether choosing a paint palette or navigating a full-room re-design.
For larger projects or multiple rooms, a two- or three-hour consultation may be recommended.
-
The consultation may cover a wide range of topics, including:
Colour, pattern, texture, and how they work together
Spatial layout, lighting, finishes, and flow
Practical suggestions to compliment the clients individual lifestyle and budget
Honest, unbiased product and brand recommendations
Where appropriate, Charlotte will recommend suppliers or sources to explore and if relevant, a curated selection of wallpapers or fabrics can be offered through the studio.
-
This is an ideal option for those who:
Want professional design advice without committing to a full project
Need help solving specific design dilemmas
Are happy to manage the implementation, but would like help making decisions
Feel stuck or overwhelmed and just need someone to help see the possibilities
Charlotte can also join clients on viewings of potential new properties.

“I have had lots of compliments on the colours for my interior project which are elegant where appropriate and more exciting where needed. Charlotte’s written plans made it all very easy for me and my decorators, and if I had taken on this task myself it would have been time consuming and messy. I am glad that I used Charlotte’s service.”
