Our Creative Process
We are a warm and friendly professional design studio. Working closely with clients, we take on a selected number of design projects, ensuring each gets our full and dedicated attention. Together with trusted tradespeople, suppliers and craftsmen, our goal is to deliver a high-quality finish on every project from concept through to completion. We pride ourselves on responding directly to our client's unique requirements and design aspirations, and our approach is attentive, transparent and encouraging. Our aim is to make the process seamless, enjoyable and to always exceed expectations.
Concept Design
To begin, we focus on gaining a firm understanding of the project’s brief, schedule and budget. This is a vital stage where we gather detailed insight into our client’s preferences, aspirations, and practical needs, which we then shape into a clear and cohesive design concept.
Often the most involved part of the process, this phase is dedicated to developing and exploring ideas. It’s a collaborative and inspiring time, where we conduct research, visit showrooms with clients, and gather references to shape the creative vision. We define the overall design direction, recognising the importance of architecture and function. We set the tone for both the fixed elements and the more flexible features that will bring the home to life.
Detail Design
Once the concept design has been approved, we move into the detail design phase, where we develop and refine the chosen direction according to the brief, keeping practicality and longevity at the heart of every element of our process.
At this stage, the initial visual concepts are translated into detailed specifications. Our focus shifts to the finer points of the design - ensuring every element is thoughtfully considered and technically sound, laying the groundwork for a smooth transition into implementation.
Procurement FF&E
After finalising the detail design stage, we move into the procurement phase, where we begin ordering all specified items for the project, liaising with tradespeople for quotes, and commissioning bespoke items.
This includes everything from joinery design, window treatments, furniture, lighting, and accessories to hardware and approved fixed elements. Throughout this process, we also support clear communication and coordination with tradespeople and artisans, ensuring this critical phase is delivered in line with the design specifications and schedule.
Installation & Styling
Installation is the most rewarding part of the process, the culmination of practical planning and creative vision. We oversee every element, from the placement of artwork to the final styling of a mantlepiece. We handle the finishing touches to ensure the project reflects the original vision and delivers the agreed-upon aesthetic in its full expression.
It’s where the design settles into its true form: elegant, enduring and entirely personal to the client.
